Most Floridians have automatic ice makers in their refrigerators (yes I do too). I still use ice cubed trays and make flavored ice cubes year round. We love orange almond flavored cubes, lemon lime cubes, I will use almost any type fruit as a base for the flavored Ice cubes. They are colorful in Holiday drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages) in smoothies, etc.
You can even drop a few cubes in cold water and flavor boring H2o up! As a need here in sunny, hot Florida one must stay hydrated!!! I love lemon cubes in Sweet Tea in the summer time. Citrus is fun and I love creating new recipes using citrus!
