Orange poached pears, a light flavorful dessert anytime! 4 Anjou or Bartlett pears, peeled, placed in a small lidded saucepan, add 1 cup pure orange juice, 1 tablespoon light brown sugar on low heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
One fresh orange for zest, remove poached pears into individual small bowls, add juice from saucepan equally, garnish with orange zest.
Light and very delicious!
