Are you a chicken wing fan? Citrus Baked Chicken Wings are scrumptious!
Citrus Wings ———-Serves —4 ———–Prep/Bake Time——–45 minutes — 375 F
I will use 4-5 pounds of wings and typically without the tips on. One orange, one lemon, one lime. I will wash each first before I zest the citrus. In a 9 x 12 baking dish add chicken wings, 1-1/4 cup low sodium chicken stock, 1/2 cup water, salt and black pepper add to all the little wings, add onion powder, garlic, if desired (I am personally allergic to garlic in any form however, most sweet and savory citrus dishes can use garlic in minced form, powdered form or whole cloves-I will let that decision up to your taste). Add 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon chili powder and sprinkle over the citrus wings. Wings are great on a weekend just hanging out. They work just as well on a week-night. Add the zest of all three citrus (Lemon, Lime, Orange) over the wings, cut citrus in half. Juice one half of each orange, lemon, lime over the chicken wings. Save the other half of orange, lemon, lime to slice and lay slices of orange, lemon, lime on top of wings. Place in a 375 F Oven for 35-45 minutes depending on the size and how crispy you want the citrus wings. I usually cover the baking dish with foil the first 20 minutes of bake time then remove foil. Easy recipe and frankly super duper flavorful! They are so good. If you want a dip you can use a ranch dressing, add celery sticks, carrot sticks on the side of a serving platter.
