Oranges are so versatile, aromatic and fun to use in recipes! In fact I love all citrus!!!
ORANGE-ALMOND SYRUP —- Serves 8 ——- Prep time 5 minutes
2 Whole Florida Valencia Oranges (washed, zest and juices), 1-1/2 teaspoon Almond Extract, 1/2 Teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract, 2 cups Karo Syrup (Clear corn syrup), 1/4 teaspoon Pure Orange extract, add all ingredients into a blender or you can hand stir in a bowl to well combine. Place in an airtight container. Great to use on Waffles, Pancakes, biscuits, corn muffins and more. It is a refreshing change up from maple syrup (which I also love!).
ORANGE-LEMON-HONEY BUTTER —- Serves 6 ——- Prep time 4 minutes
1 1/2 sticks sweet cream butter, 1 whole Valencia Orange (washed, zest and juice), 1 whole Lemon (washed) zest and juice, 5 tablespoons Pure Honey, combine all ingredients in a bowl using a spatula mix well. Transfer to an airtight container, really pack it in and Refrigerate until ready to use. Great on Desserts, muffins, pancakes, waffles and more.
ORANGE MARMALADE LIL’ SMOKIE SAUSAGES —- SLOW COOKED/CROCK POT —– 2 Hours
2 – 10 oz. packages smokies, 1 cup low sodium beef stock, 1 whole small white onion sliced, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 2 Whole Valencia Oranges (washed) zest and juices, 1 – 5oz. jar Orange Marmalade Jelly. Simply add all ingredients into slow cooker, stir, place lid on, set on medium heat and cook for 2 hours. The Flavors of these Lil’ Smoked Sausages is scrumptious. I hope you enjoy as much as we do!
