A mild white fish Tilapia is reasonably priced and you can prepare it so many ways. I am not a person who fries much food in fact I will avoid it! I have grilled it in aluminum packets with citrus fruits, breaded it and baked in the oven with homemade seasoned breadcrumbs. Tastes just like fried only no grease!!! The homemade bread crumbs will adhere to fresh or frozen without an egg wash you can alleviate that step in baking Tilapia. I really like it baked with Lemons and seasonings. A drizzle of Olive Oil and away you go. 400 F oven 5-7 minutes bake time. Serve with rice, noodles, a salad, whatever you like. We eat some type of Fish whether Tilapia, Haddock, Atlantic Cod, Perch, Flounder, Redfish, Snapper, Catfish at least once a week. My weakness is Sea Scallops, Lobster, Shrimp I love them all.
My Seafood Market has the most freshest Seafood in the County and they are close by. It’s a weekly visit! Grilling Tilapia is a matter of minutes and gives a nice smokey flavor. If you have not yet tried Tilapia check into this mild fish, you may like it!
In closing I wish you Good Health. Cheryl “Cheffie Cooks” Wiser. All Things Citrus. See YOU all Soon!
